ENMITY

Enmity”, an award-winning experimental film, secured second place in the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award’s Multimedia category in the UAE in 2016. The film creatively combines stark black and white visuals with a melodic cello score, exploring tension and self-realization.

The narrative symbolizes the buildup of tension within, depicted by a person initially shrouded in black. White spots spread, representing the tension, climaxing with the person opening their eyes in realization. The color black, often linked to struggle, signifies strength and bravery in overcoming adversity, highlighting the beauty within darkness.

WREST

“Wrest” is a visually striking short film in high-contrast black and white, exploring transformation through black ink. The film features the intimate process of black ink dripping onto the person’s hand and face, creating a mesmerizing dance of self-expression and metamorphosis.

Mirroring effects heighten the surreal atmosphere. A poignant moment occurs as the black-inked hand holds a red flower, only for it to be engulfed by black ink. The film concludes with a powerful act—crushing the flower—an evocative symbol of transformation and beauty emerging from unexpected changes.
